Sweet and Salty Kitchen Sink Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup crushed pretzels
  • 1/2 cup caramel bits
  • 1/2 cup crushed potato chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts optional
  • Flaky sea salt for garnish

Instructions
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, pretzels, caramel bits, potato chips, and nuts.

  7. Scoop dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving about 2 inches of space between each.
  8. Sprinkle a pinch of flaky sea salt on top of each cookie before baking.
  9. Bake for 12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown but the centers are still slightly soft.
  10. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
