Instructions
Preheat and Prep
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper to avoid a sticky cleanup later. Set aside.
Melt the Butter
In a microwave-safe bowl or a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter until fully liquefied. Add the olive oil to the melted butter. This combo gives a great mouthfeel and helps evenly distribute the seasonings.
Mix the Seasoning Blend
To the butter mixture, add seasoned salt, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, smoked paprika, ranch seasoning, red pepper flakes, and dried parsley. Whisk until well combined. This is the magic mixture that turns plain crackers into seasoned masterpieces.
Coat the Crackers
Place the saltines (or oyster crackers) into a large mixing bowl. Drizzle the buttery seasoning mix over them, stirring gently but thoroughly to coat each piece. Be patient—make sure the crackers are well-coated for maximum flavor.
Bake to Perfection
Spread the coated crackers in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, stir gently to rotate the crackers for even baking, then return to the oven for another 10 minutes. They should be golden and aromatic.
Cool and Store
Remove the crackers from the oven and let them cool completely on the baking sheet. Once cool, store them in an airtight container or zip-top bag. They’ll stay fresh for about a week—though they rarely last that long!
