Garlic Ginger Cabbage Stir Fry

  • Grater or microplane for ginger

Ingredients
  

  • 1 medium head of green cabbage thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1- inch piece ginger grated
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce or tamari for gluten-free
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional for heat
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds for garnish
  • 2 green onions sliced for garnish

Instructions
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, stirring constantly for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

  3. Add the sliced cabbage and toss to coat with the garlic and ginger.
  4. Stir-fry for 5-7 minutes until the cabbage softens but still retains some crunch.
  5. Pour in the soy sauce, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir well to combine.
  6. Remove from heat and drizzle with toasted sesame oil.
