Easy Banana Bread with Self-Raising Flour

Ingredients
  

  • 3 ripe bananas mashed
  • 1 ½ cups self-raising flour
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp cinnamon optional
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips optional

Instructions
 

Preheat the oven

  1. to 350°F (175°C). Grease your loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.

Mash the bananas

  1. in a large bowl until smooth. Add melted butter and mix well.

Whisk in sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract

  1. until fully combined. If using cinnamon, add it now.

Fold in the self-raising flour

  1. gently, being careful not to overmix. If you’re adding walnuts or chocolate chips, stir them in.

Pour the batter

  1. into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.

Bake for 50 minutes

  1. or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Cool in the pan for 10 minutes

  1. then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
