Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream adjust for consistency

Instructions
 

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter together until smooth and fluffy.

  2. Sift in the powdered sugar and cocoa powder to prevent lumps, then mix on low speed until combined.
  3. Add the vanilla extract, salt, and heavy cream. Beat on medium-high speed until the frosting is creamy and spreadable. If needed, add more heavy cream, one teaspoon at a time, to reach your desired consistency.
  4. Spread the chocolate frosting for brownies evenly over a fully cooled brownie base.
  5. Slice, serve, and enjoy!
