Some days, menu planning and preparing food is just exhausting. It doesn’t happen often, but I do have my moments.
As I was cruising through Joseph’s Market in Boca Raton (which is a GREAT market), I happened upon adorable orange and black farfalle (bowties). By the next aisle, I had encountered Butternut Squash Sauce from Dave’s Gourmet and there was dinner!
I rarely buy jar sauces. They all have extra sugar in them, the ingredients aren’t fresh and in the end, my own sauces taste better. I was pleasantly surprised by the Butternut Squash pasta sauce from Dave’s Gourmet. It was really tasty with great butternut squash flavor blended with tomatoes. The sauce is also gluten free (bonus) but the pasta is not … so pair it with your favorite gluten free pasta choice or go for the gold and have some Halloweeny Pasta.
To take this meal to the next level, I sprinkled Onion Basil Goat Cheese Crumbles from Montchevre right over the top. It was the perfect tang against the sweeter sauce. The crumbles from Montchevre are brilliant and exactly right to grab and sprinkle on salads, sandwiches, pasta dishes or over some roast veggies.
Happy Halloween and may your dinners be easy and delicious!

Beautiful looking pasta!! Love the colors, and the flavors look great too!
