‘Tis the season to have a craving for caramel apples! I prepared this recipe for last year’s Pollen Ranch Spooky Fennel Pollen eCookbook and thought I would share it for this Halloween!
The recipe is super simple and you end up with fun apples that are ready to be decorated however you choose.
Happy Halloween and Happy Caramel Apples!
- 6 small red or green apples
- 1 14 oz. bag of caramels
- 2 tablespoons half and half or milk
- ½ to 1 tablespoon of Divine Desserts
- Mini Chocolate Chips
- Peanuts rough chopped
- CRAFT STICKS
Remove the stems from the apples and insert a craft stick in each.
In a microwave safe bowl, heat the caramel 30 seconds at a time until melted. Add the half and half or milk if it needs to be thinned a bit.
Stir Divine Desserts into the melted caramel – use full tablespoon for full flavor.
Carefully dip the apples in the caramel to coat and as caramel starts to thicken, roll apple in mini chocolate chips and peanut mixture.
