After reading about all of the healthy reasons to eat more pumpkins, I was really motivated to make a healthFULL pumpkin smoothie from all organic products. Plus, my Mom is in a Rehab facility and could use the extra boost.
I chose to use the Divine Desserts Fennel Pollen Spice Blend because it really adds an unique flavor that blows the normal pumpkin pie spice away. The sweetness comes from the Vanilla Almond Milk and the banana so no need to add sugar. Bee Pollen gives an energy boost and gives some delightful texture. You can also swap kefir for the yogurt in this recipe.
This Pumpkin Smoothie is also a great fiber drink – use it to get things moving more effectively.
Ingredients: (makes 2-3 smoothies)
6 tablespoons of Organic Pure Pumpkin (in the can)
1 banana (ripe)
1 – 2 teaspoons Divine Desserts Fennel Pollen
1 ½ cups Vanilla Almond Milk
1 – 2 teaspoons bee pollen for garnish
2 dabs of Greek yogurt for garnish
Add the pumpkin, banana, Divine Desserts and Almond Milk to the blender and blend until smooth.
Pour into cups and add a dab of yogurt and a sprinkle of bee pollen and Divine Desserts on top.
