Ever since I started using 1888 Dirtiest Martini Mix for my HG Dirty Martinis, I have been dying to try the 1888 Dirtiest Martini Mix in a …. Bloody Mary!
I always add a bit of olive juice to my Bloody Mary and 1888 is a juice made from whole pressed premium Spanish olives aka OLIVE HEAVEN!
A Bloody Mary can almost be a meal and have multiple ingredients – bacon, celery sticks, onions, cucumbers, shrimps, raw clams, fennel (pretty much any veggie you can think of), plus all of the spices and dashes: Tabasco sauce, Worcestershire sauce, horseradish sauce, garnishing with some Old Bay Seasoning and salt on the rim of the glass, or Spicy Fennel Pollen – the possibilities are endless.
Here is a great base recipe but I always encourage creativity with a Bloody Mary – tell me how you like yours!
Ingredients for a Bloody Mary
1 1/2 ounces (1 jigger) vodka
1/2 cup tomato juice or V8
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice or lime juice (I like both)
healthy splash to taste of 1888 Dirtiest Martini Mix
Worcestershire sauce to taste
Tabasco to taste
1 celery stick for garnish
1 lemon/lime wedge for garnish
Directions to Mix a Bloody Mary
Combine the vodka, the tomato juice, the lemon juice, the 1888 Dirtiest Martini mix, the Worcestershire sauce, the Tabasco, 1 cup ice cubes, and salt and pepper to taste in a shaker and shake well. Strain into a glass filled with ice cubes and pop in some celery stalks.
Make a pitcher, invite some friends, have some eggs! Cheers!
