Who doesn’t love bacon? If you could add bacon to a cocktail, would that make you happy? YES and then YES again!
I recently received the new line of Mama Walker’s™ Breakfast-Inspired Liqueurs for review and to play with. The Drunken Goddess is running amok!
The new line from Mama Walker’s includes Maple Bacon, Glazed Donut and Blueberry Pancake liqueurs. Hang onto your hats, Darlings – we are going to revolutionize brunch cocktails!
Tasting the Maple Bacon, it definitely has the maple sweetness as part of the flavor and a hint of bacon. My first thought was BLOODY MARY … the spicy ingredients for a Bloody Mary complement the sweetness of the liqueur perfectly. And to be honest, I wanted to add a nice thick slice of bacon to a drink. Truly, I could add one to ALL my drinks but that might be overkill. Or would it?
I recommend using thick cut bacon and I cooked it on a rack in the oven so it came out beautifully. The drink was in a Mason Jar so you can adjust the measurements to your taste.

Maple Bacon Bloody Mary – Ingredients & Instructions
- 1-2 ounces of Mama Walker™ Maple Bacon Liqueur
- 1 ounce vodka (optional – was good with just the liqueur)
- Tomato juice or V8 to top of glass
- 2 teaspoons of horseradish (or more if you like it spicy)
- Worcestershire sauce to taste
- Tabasco to taste
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- Mix all ingredients and then add to a glass filled with ice
- Garnish with Bacon and Celery
