Sometimes when we have a busy week, the Hungry Goddess kitchen does not get much use. We grab snacks, munch on grazing foods, snatch bowls of cereal and work like mad but no one can go too long without REAL food. REAL as in cooking something delicious and sitting down to enjoy it with a glass of wine.
This is the moment that arrived this Friday – the need for REAL food.
A meal that qualifies as REAL comfort food after a crazy busy week:
- New York Strip steak on the grill drizzled with Chile Olive Oil (and seasoned with salt and pepper)
- broiled brussel sprouts (also drizzled with Chile Olive Oil & stuck under broiler for approx 5-6 min)
- mashed fingerling potatoes (hand mashed with butter, half & half, salt and pepper)
- paired with a bottle of Anakena 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile
So we cooked and we sat and our eyes closed in REAL food bliss. What a great start to the weekend!
How good is the Chile Olive Oil? SO good that I used it instead of using my black truffle oil – YUM!
We want to share our LOVE of Chile Olive Oil with YOU at the #HGEATS Chile Olive Oil Twitter Party on Wednesday at 12n est – Come CHAT with us and @ChileOliveOil!

Goddess,
Just stumbled on to this feast.
It’s what’s for dinner tomorrow!
Thanks.
